If I were a professional author I'd crank out a bazillion books. Of course manuscripts go to publishing firms where editors do the smoothing out. I will never agonize over which word to use. I use whatever comes to mind. I never regre word choices because IN THE MOMENT it was the right choice. I don't do monday-morning quarterbacking wouldda shouldda couldda. No point to it. I'm an ad lib fan not a perfectionist. We opposites must drive you perfectionists bonkers. Not intentionally. Just incidentally.
