Franz Kafka wrote a story about The United States of Amerca only it was handled metaphorically.
The book is titled THE METAMORPHOSIS
It is about a man named Gregor Samsa who wakes one day to find he has become an insect (monstrous vermin was the description in German). He has to learn how to adjust to his new reality.
Well so do we Americans have to adjust to our new reality. One day we were normal ordinary typical average human beings. Now we are part of a huge monstrous vermin and trying to adjust to that is not easy.
You do not metamorphosize back to your orginal state so this is our new normal. How do you like so far?
