Da big cheese has ACTUALLY done everything they only fantasize about doing and so he is their hero exactly for being what he is and they wish they were but will never be except in their fantasy and in their undying support love respect admiration for da big cheese. A reprobate who is Vicious venal cruel merciless greedy needy seedy arrogant condescending cold heartless supercilious selfish sanctimonious and a CONGENITAL LIAR satisfying ALL HIS APPETITES WITHOUT HAVING TO PAY A PRICE FOR IT.

Poor GOD. He can't possibly match that in their eyes. So they abandoned him for a homo sap who embodies all that is evil. The best of all possible worlds.
Now when they die what happens to them I don't know. If there is in fact an after with Heaven and a GOD what song and dance will they say to rationalize away what they did on earth in their lives and how they served and serviced vicious evil and turned their back on GOD. Not for me to say but they clearly have a PLAN B for that. I wouldn't underestimate GOD as they have.
