Lots and lots and lots of sayings we repeat and repeat and repeat.

"A stitch in time saves nine". To promulgate preparation or just a meaningless rhyme?

"An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure"

"The cure is worse than the disease"

"Thinking makes it so"

"The unexamined life is not worth living"

"Curiosity killed the cat and satisfaction brought it back"

"Do as I say not as I do"

"Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery"

"Gather ye rosebuds while ye may"

"Do unto others as you would have others do unto you"

"What you sow you will reap"

"Be kind to everyone on your way up. You might meet them again on your way down"

"Pride goeth before a fall"

"Do not judge a book by its cover"

"Actions speak louder than words"
