If the powers that be wore a mask at all times in public told everyone else to do so too would his base mask or abandon him?

    Again not an either or option.

    If he wants wear it then he should wear it.  Personally I am not wearing one.  I would not stop supporting Trump over his wearing a mask.

    It would be prudent to wear a mask regardless. Including Donald Trump. Not only would that be showing a good example as a world leader, but  also because there ha been confirmed cases in the White House, and he is, after-all, in his 70's. 

    Anyone who is having symptoms should stay inside. 
    Anyone who is not showing symptoms could be asymptomatic or presymptomatic and should take the precaution of wearing a mask whilst out in public to protect others.

    I understand some people can't wear a mask or a face-covering for medical reasons. 

    Although I don't believe it should be enforced, I do believe mask wearing should be encouraged.
