Well we are told that "everybody lies". So why is "everybody" not enormously successful? Because you gotta lie convincingly. Ya gotta have that je ne sais quoi that hooks the brainless gullibles into believing you no matter how absurd and crackpot a wackadoodle you are. Not everyone is similarly gifted.
