    National guard has been used numerous times to stop rioting and other criminal acts.  Funny I do not remember any complaints then.

    And...I did not deny he said that.  

    Did he accuse Obama, Bush Sr, Nixon, Johnson, Kennedy etc who all used National guard to regain control after from rioters of abusing power? 

    Should he literally do nothing while the country burns?  Should we send fiddles to him and the Governors who refuse to do their job?

    Mattis served as Trump's defense secretary, so he has greater credibility about Trump than he would have about those other presidents. He published an oped piece giving his opinion. Don't shoot the messenger.
