    Guns give people a false sense of security.

    Some believe that by having them, others will be afraid and leave them alone.   Some believe that by brandishing them they look tough.  In reality, neither it true.

    When some having guns, others think they must have guns as well so that there is “equilibrium”.  Therefore, if everyone has guns, the fear goes from having a gun to who has the biggest gun.  Of course, then everyone wants to have the biggest gun... and on it goes.  {My rifle beats your revolver.  Well my rocket launcher beats your shotgun.  Well, my nuke beats your rocket launcher.}

    I think it's very weird Shuhak. I, an old lady of 82, gunless my entire life am not afraid of anything except guns and those who open carry all the time. Guns scare me so why would I want to own things that scare me? I wouldn't so I don't. It seems tons and tons of homo saps are afraid of many things and many people 24/7 so they live their entire lives in fear of "what's out there"? Me? Not my cuppa tea. Different strokes for different folks and blokes. Thank you for your reply! :)
