The big he wants the economy rolling smoothly by election day so he can brag on it. In order for that to happen everyone has to be back at work. Parents have to have their kids in school to do that.
It isn't that the big he reveres education. He obviously is dumb as mud doesn't read doesn't learn doesn't care. But he gotta get that old eonomy running at full speed so he can win win win win win!
