CERN physicists report the discovery of a uniqe new exotic particle they call a TETRAQUARK. Exciting news?

There are six types of QUARKS.

Up
Down
Charm
Strange
Top
Bottom

A particle consisting of a quark and an antiquark is called MEON. Three quarks bound together? Baryons.

Why this why now?

A break from the usual path. A respite. An oasis. A breather.

Oh. There are also Pentaquarks.

Are you a fan of quarks? Matter. Antimatter. Entanglement? Black holes? Time travel? Multiple dimensions beyond the 3 we know?

Multiple universes within without and all about?

Once upon a time in a universe far far away........

The more they peer into the depths of the atom the stranger and more wonderful it is.

And to think the word "atom", from Greek, was coined to reflect thinking it the fundamental particle that could not be divided!

CERN is already discussing what might replace the Large Hadron Collider, which would take many years and huge sums of money to accomplish. MKeanwhile the laboratory is still probing and calculating and discovering....

OH NO! Say it isn't so Durdle! ".....replace the large Hadron Collider"? Oh gosh no. Is that outdated? I get goosebumps every time I see it for whatever program on the Science channel I'm watching. What can't it do that you'd like to see a new one do?

They showed a photo of the tetraquark. I don't know if it is an ACTUAL blown up or an artist's rendering. It was mighty purty!

I guess they would never junk it, right? It would be the backup and also always be running tests. Thank you for your reply and Happy Thursday. Hope you and yours are doing fine. STAY SAFE m'dear! :)
