When the DESIGNER saw the flaw in the prototype why didn't HE correct it so future reproductions could be flawless?

The FLAW?

The murderous instinct within the prototype.

At that moment of discovery the prototype should have been tossed and a new prototype made.

Why produce anything with flaws if you know how to not?
