There is as vast a difference between LITERAL/FIGURATIVE as there is between having a jolly good sense of humor and having none. Ya know?

So do YOU have a jolly good sense of humor? Do take great delight in a twist or turn or an unexpected view?

It is said that "laughter is the best medicine" so I wonder why there are so many you would rather dump it down the drain than imbibe?

I've heard people say (usually younger versions) DROP DEAD. They don't mean it LITERALLY. They don't really want you dead.

People say things for many reasons. To vent to share to anger others to make others laugh/smile. You can NEVER know what an underlying cause is or an intention and sometimes we say things and don't really know where they came from. But we say them and others hear them and then they are gone.
