I am not an antivaxxer but I will not be lining up for the vaccine.
I will not be the guinea pig.

    Who, exactly, are these people?

A third of Americans said they would not get vaccinated if/when a vaccine is made available.

    That’s over 110 million people.

Does the state or federal government, or even an employer have the right to make a person take a vaccine?  This question may soon be before the Supreme Court (SCOTUS).  No matter what verdict is, many people are not going to be happy with it.

No. The government does not have that right.

A school, an employer can as long as it applies to all not just selective enforcement.  And there are still limits with that power.

You mean to tell me there are that many ANTI-VAX Americans? I thought there were just a paltry few boneheads..you know the ones who insist that Autism is caused by vaccines so they deprive their children of protection because they are cockamamaie wackadoodlenoodles? Oh geez Shuhak. So we are doomed to be in this loop forever controlled by all the wackadoodldedoodles. That is just swell. SIGH. Any other good news you got? Oh in our state the DMV is giving us a one-year extension on renewal of driver's licenses for those over 70! Which is me! Which is great because mine expires on my birthday this year. Doesn't affect you younguns as far as I know. Thank you for your reply Shuhak and Happy Saturday! :)

I heard that the DMV was doing that.  I don't know about youngers.  I got my license renewed in December so I should be good for 4 more years.

I was REALLY WORRIED because my birthday is in autumn and I thought oh my gosh now what? I filled out an online DMV form to request a written notice. I don't know if it will be sent online or snail mail. But that isn't even necessary. Allegedly "they" have notified everyone. But just in case I'm going to carry the newspaper article in my purse so at the store if they ask for it (they never ask at Walmart but every visit to Winco or Sprouts and I have to show it). Of course it could be extended depending on how bad it gets and for how long. Someone in the newspaper article suggested that over 70 folks who never had a moving violation or any kind of ticket should be allowed a one-time automatic full scale extension. I think that's a great idea but I don't know if the DMV would feel safe doing that. Thank you for your reply Shuhak! :)
