It is puzzling the vast vast vast difference among homo saps. In all ways all days one size does not fit all.
Emotionally intellectually spiritually physically homo saps are all over the page. Some are very weak and gullible while some are very strong and independent. I think it isn't a choice they make. Where fear drives them emotions bind them.
Stoking FEAR is one of the traits of all despot dictator authoritarians. Terrified horrified fearful intimidated. All day every day in every way. Keep the peeps terrified of what will happen without him/her/it/them.
Brainwash the gullibles into believing that they MUST be loyal or they will perish.
Only the gullibles...the most frightend among homo saps...will listen to that. Sadly there are enough of them (millions..perhaps billions?) for any despot dictator authoritatians to have all the power over them.
