We know rose gardens have roses with stems that are thorny. But our "rose garden" has no flowers at all only thorny stems. Plow them under?

Start over? Use them for mulch?

Thorns have no fragrance and can draw blood if you are not very careful. This new thorngarden we have had visited upon us is ugly and tiresome and no value at any level least of all visually. How best to rid ourselves of it so we can once again grow roses with blossoms and fragrance?

Of what value is a rose garden without roses?
