If they are convinced that they can accomplish this unchallenged, then they will do it. They have always sought to expand their sphere of influence. You can bring this about by exploiting your potential adversary's weaknesses. Unfortunately for us, we lost our moral authority and political influence when we proved that we cannot even govern and control our own house and its affairs. They've watched us as we've tried to blunder and bluster our way through one crisis after another and negotiate from a standpoint of weakness. These people are for real and they know how to play the game.
