That was an episode of The Twilight Zone. 

It WAS? I misremembered it then Shuhak. I thought it was a stand-alone movie like "The Day the Earth Stood Still" or something like that. Thanks for the info. I sure miss Rod Serling and Twilight Zone. There has never been anything like it. Sure there are so-called scifi shows but really which of them ever met with the same degree of success? Star Trek? A different animal entirely. Star Wars? Again a different animal. They were one idea carried forward over time. Twilight Zone was a different idea with each episode...some of which are indelibly engraved in my brain. Remember the one where all the electrical things turned on the guy who was abusing them? That was really scary. I still treat my toaster and coffee maker with rspect! :)

I believe that episode was titled, "A Thing About Machines".
