After the most recent Trump ghastly bombshell Kelly Ann Conway has disapeared. She is nowhere on TV. Has she left the campaign?

What a sweet baby that is.  Is it yours? I dunno GJ. The folks, especially the women folk, who continue to support Trump have no pride and they must think women deserve that kind of treatment. T'is a puzzlement.  I don't know if she has actually abandoned him completely but she was all over the tube a few days ago defending him like crazy and then since that ghastlily disgusting tape appeared I haven't seen a trace of her anywhere. She gets PAID to defend him. What I don't get are those women who don't get paid who continue to support him. He has an articulate Latina surrogate who dismisses the whole thing. She must hate Hillary so much that she is willing to demean herself on his behalf. It is a mystery to me and probably always will be. Thank you for your reply and the video and Happy Monday! :)

It get's worse than that. They hate Hillary for what ever reason (they always have, guess she is married to the wrong guy). They are willing to support her opponent no matter how little respect he has for the constitution. He calls someone not convicted a rapist (let's not forget his own history with Ivana among others, his ways talking about his own daughter - can you imagine the reaction if Bill was acting like that with Chelsea?), he says he will jail his opponent should he win (like if he would be chief of some banana republic), he pays no respect towards the constitution.

How can they keep justifying it for themselves (they cannot to most of us)? It is their hate for the Clintons, it is their fear for Supreme Court and the coming nominations for SC. They fear what a Clinton would put into SC, and they know they will face these judges for a looooong time after. That is their fear. They are willing to risk everything else to just avoid that one thing. That is their trust into judges of the US. They believe someone clearly not respecting the constitution will do a better job appointing new judges. This is ALL what this election is about. Well, except for the deplorable who wants a fascistic leader like Mussolini in Italy back in the days. We saw how that went. Or like the big PUTIN in Russia. Only, Trump is his lapdog as Trump got lots of investments in Russia. Putin has his hand deep down his pants, grabbed around his balls and squeezes him like a little schoolboy. Sad episode of our legacy for the future generations that hopefully still will come unless a loony pushes the wrong button in some briefcase and starts a nuclear war.  This is the point we have reached in history. The choice is more important than ever. A Clinton will be a better solution any day. We know what we get, and not some lottery coupon. We haven't even been told the odds to get the big prize if we buy his coupons. I do know however that a bookie never looses his money in a longer run, that will be his customers. Think about it... Wow! Bravo! This is some analysis my friend and it scares the crap outta me because I think it is spot on. I guess hatred can nullify anything else if it is strong enough and the Hilly/Billy haters have had a lot of practice hating them for a very long time . They are all ridiculous/absurd/mindless. A bunch of lemmings/Chicken Littles running about amuck shouting "the sky is falling the sky is falling woe is us". Shameful. They should all be embarrassed and humiliated by their words/deeds but that would take a conscience. I thought we all had one but I must have thought wrong. It isn't the first time nor will it be the last time. When Trump tanks and the Republican Party is entirely demolished what will the haters do? Continue to hate only it will have been exacerbated because of all the time, effort, energy they put into backing an a**hole. They won't blame him or themselves. They will blame us, the not them, and the system. They are demolishing or trying to demolish the country they say they love.  My a **! They don't love America. They hate what it stands for and want to make it a place where all their desires/wants/needs are met and screw the rest of us. The thing is I always knew they existed. What shocks me is  how many of them there are. That is stunning to me. Where have they been hiding all this time? It took Trump to  seduce them out of their dark corners and let them all out to serve and service him. As Trump is Putin's lap dog so too are Trump supporter his lapdogs. They think not. They just react. I believe Hillary will win. I believe she will be our next prez. But there are no guarantees. I believe the Republicans are exerting all efforts to sabotage our voting system. The hacks keep coming. How do we know our votes won't be hacked and rearranged so that Trump will "win"?  The red state Guvs keep enacting laws to reduce the voting ability of "the wrong people". Anything they can do they will and possibly have to prevent Dems from voting. So I  don't trust any of them to do the right thing. They know they can't win straight up and honestly so they will continue to undermine/sabotage/subvert and they may just get their wish. How horrible is that? Thank you for your reply SH. I think it is going to get a whole lot worse before it gets better. If it gets better! :(

The inner beast exist in us all, Rosie. Most of us try to keep it in checkmate but at times a demagogue flies by and some will be too tempted by the easy solution: to blame other minorities for all their struggles. It was how the dictators came to power in the 30's. We are at a crossroad that will decide for the next few decades how we go from here. If we care for history we will see that these populist won't do any good for the people if they get in power. They will lead their countries into debacles.

I usually don't make long replies on the political questions any longer but your question today, and tonight's debate got into me and it all came out without even a need to make long thoughts about it. It almost wrote itself. Hmm.

IF I were a believer I would say let us all pray, but hey..! Everyone can make a difference and prying won't be needed as it won't help anyway. Bless us all.

The best writing is stream-of-consciousness SH that flows effortlessly because it is driven by the intellect. I hope it's cathartic because as some comedian once said "I'm all verklempt". I have no idea what that means but it covers what I'm feeling and thinking. I guess it can mean whatever you need it to mean. And so we watch and wait. And Pray. As Trump would say "what have you got to lose"?  :)
