One week after a windstorm devastated IOWA some areas are STILL WITHOUT POWER. In California a STATE OF EMERGENCY is in effect. WHY?

Northern California is suffering from wildfires and evacuations are imminent or in progress.

Southern California is suffering from wildfires and evaluations are imminent or in progress.

Probably in middle California too. The whole state is on fire.

What's going on in your state currently? Any GOOD NEWS to report?
