If I were a SCOTUS Justice I would be highly insulted if my vote was thought to be a slam dunk for anything and anyone. Why?

Because it would presume in advance that I would not evaluate things INDEPENDENTLY or FAIRLY but rather be a rubber stamp to a demented duck.

What honor dignity or value would there be in that? Anyone can be a rubber stamp. Anyone can be an obedient underling. Anyone can go through doing what is predictably demanded of them. It doesn't take intelligence expertise or education or devotion. Do what you are expected to do. Don't make waves.
