Male in his 70's who is obese suffering from a disease called "metabolic syndrome". At great risk is such a man for a bad outcome. Expected?

I did not expect the virus to take him down and out. Why I don't know. He was a sitting duck for it (pun intended). So now he is at great risk because he is everything a virus sufferer should not be.

It is impossible for me not to see this as poetic justice even though I did not expect it to take this turn.
