Duck fights for his life and folks are making jokes/mocking/ridiculing. Hasn't he done the SAME THING as people were/are dying?

Perhaps he ought not have cast that bread upon the waters for so many months. Perhaps he ought to have cared about them as they lay dying and done something so they wouldn't have had to do so?

I don't know. I'm just asking.
