Publius Terentius Afer (aka TERENCE). 195/185-159 BC. A playwright of the time who coined some very famous lines. Examples?

I am human so nothing human is alien to me
Moderation in all things
Time heals all wounds
Obsequiousness begets friends, truth hatred
Extreme law is often extreme injustice
Extreme justice is often extreme malice
While there's life there's hope
Fortune favors the brave

Of all those lines which resonates most with you? Why?

Amazing the brilliance of a man alive so long ago? As if he had an insight into the human condition which has not changed at all since his time. The more things change the more they stay the same. We are apparently stuck being what we are.
