I like Will Smith. I watched Fresh Prince of Bel Air all the time. Did he start out as a rapper?

    Yes. He did.

    His rapper name was The Fresh Prince.  His friend Jazz in the show was also his music partner DJ Jazzy Jeff in real life. 
    The theme for the show was a modified version of one of their hits. "Parents Just Don't Understand."
