What is the purpose of belonging to a POLITICAL party? Cleaving unto one another birds of the same feather. WHY DOES EMOTION FIGURE BIGLY?

Why do political parties at their very worst promulgate HATE and FEAR?

Why do political parties control people's emotions and stoke them and rile them up and vilify "the enemy"?

How much a part of EMOTION drives political parties? Why is that emotion almost ALWAYS HATE AND FEAR?

I don't get it. Do you?
