Are you familiar with the poetry of Thomas Gray?

A line from one of his poems (written in 1750 and published in 1751) comes to mind.

FAR FROM THE MADDING CROWD. Madding means FRENZIED.

We have a madding crowd out there of sizable proportion. Will the frenzied grow in numbers or will they dwindle diminish die out figuratively? Wait and see. What other option is there?

The poem is "Elegy written in a country churchyard" which I have mentioned before. My favorite line?

"Full many a flower is born to blush unseen and waste its sweetness on the desert air"

That is not applicable to the person who lost the election or any of his supporters. They were never unseen or unheard. There are in excess of 70 MILLION of them.

What they do next is anyone's guess. Madding still and forevermore? Perhaps.
