Monsters are oblivious to what they are to others. Among themselves they do believe they are the most handsome/beautiful. Ring a bell?

Long ago in the Twilight Zone after an operation on a very beautiful young woman the operation was a "failure" and she was banished to a far-off place where others were banished whose operations were also failures. A land of the handsome and beautiful. Not so bad.

But what did these doctors and nurses look like? PIGS. No kidding. They all had pig faces. Swine. Porcine. That was their standard of acceptablity and saw monstrous in those who did not look like them. They were their own standard of beauty. Unshakable.

What we find beautiful or monstrous can vary greatly.

What does monstrous consist of for you? The pig or the non-pig?
