Duck thinks if he concedes his base will not keep funding him to pay his enormous legal bills. So he lies. Why else?

Gotta keep 'em riled up and hopeful. They are so dumb they believe him when he says he won the election. They are so dumb they discount every truth and buy ever duck lie.

But if they hear that he is giving up the lie and conceding the loss they will abandon him and the money tree will run dry and he will not tolerate that. He wants the money. He needs the money. He is lusting after the money. He will do anything and say anything to get more money. Money money money money money money money.

    You got it right.  He won't admit that he doesn't really know how to handle money (why he's out of it).  he may have "lucked in" to a few things along the way, but his track record clearly shows that he doesn't know how to handle money.  (failed businesses, failed country)
