He pardons himself and walks away without ever paying for his rape of our country.

    If he pardons himself, wouldn't that be like saying "I'm guilty" (of something)?  For the past 4 years he has adamantly claimed that he is completely innocent of everything (I'm the most innocent president - ever!)  Can't pardon what never happened.
    So in order to pardon himself, he'll have to admit what we've known along - he's guiltier than sin.
