Well we're in our 80's but our cat Tigger passed away when he was maybe 15.

The time is so short with a pet relatively speaking. They go from young and healthy and energetic to older and weaker and develop infirmities. It's just so much harder because we can't communicate with them. All we can do is love them and care for them. It's not enough.
