Are those who survive adversity better and stronger for it? Are they superior to those who lives are filled with ease and luxury?

Must we suffer to develop our character? Can we be of great significance even if we never once struggled or worried or had sleepness nights wondering how long we could survive doing without?

I don't know the answer to. Which is why I ask the question. What do you think? Based on your experience or your envisioning it?
