How much does motive/intention matter if whatever is done leads to very good results?

Bozo trump bullied folks to get him a vaccine before the election so he could take victory laps in advance of the election causing people to vote for him? He expected it would be a SLAM DUNK.

Well it didn't happen before. HE LOST. Would he have LOST regardless? I do not know.

Even so. His motive was selfish self-centered and self-serving. Does he still DESERVE props for it?

    Had  he acted like a civilized human being, he could have taken some pride in it.  But instead, he had to act like a spoiled brat.  Now he's lost that opportunity as well.
