That is one of the major problems with a purely socialist or communist economy. The example is of a factory worker who sees all his coworkers getting paid the same as him, while they are not working as hard. Eventually, those who DO work will either quit their jobs - or turn into slackers, themselves. Either way, the business will fail.
Not so fast there bub. Not so fast. Some folks won't dumb down slow down and float. They will simply leave. How many I can't tell you because I don't know. But some will not become less than because others are. Would you? I sure as he** wouldn't and I've quit jobs and moved because of that. I am not unique. Thank you for your reply Walt and Happy Tuesday to thee and thine. There are a lot of people who refuse to become less productive less useful less devoted to doing their best. They just leave and find elsewheres that will expect their best. Have you never experienced that yourself?
