Jimmy and Rosalyn Carter will not be there. I think because they are in the 90's and perhaps the trip is not advisable for them.

Do other countries do this? For me it is always a very proud thing to witness. For you?
I bet if George H.W. and Barbara Bush were still alive they would make every effort to be there too. To show respect.
Do you appreciate those who show respect to others "just because" it is the kind thing to do..the decent thing...the gracious thing?
