That's where different lineages follow the same evolutionary path.
Allegedly that is what's going on here. All 7 have been found in different stages. What is unknown right now is if they are more contagious or deadlier.
Will the vaccines we have available be effective? I don't know and I don't know if they know.
Here's the thing. If these variants keep showing up in multiples how will we ever get a handle on it to stop it or slow it down? If we have to keep focusing another recipe for another vaccine to quiet another variety of the Coronavirus where does it end?
