Discussion»Statements»Rosie's Corner» Do most folks assume that the very wealthy are also very intelligent? How likely is it that one can be very stupid and very wealthy?
Wealth doesn't always equate intelligence. Even the most stupidest person can win the lottery.
One doesn't have to be smart to be wealthy. Some professional sports players aren't that intelligent. Sure they have a skill, but... brains usually isn't one of them.
When people (especially youth) has weath thrust upon them (singers, actors, inheritance), it only fuels their pride. And when pride takes over, even the smartest person gets "stupid".
Being "born to wealth" and striking it rich yourself...two vastly different things. Having money is an insulation against hardship. Those born to wealth never experience "doing without". Finding the charitable among them (not those who give due to a tax accountant telling them they need the writeoff) is like finding a treasure. It is those who know hardship who SHOULD be most charitable when they strike it big. They KNOW what doing without is like. They appreciate what having is like versus not. I would expect that group would be most charitable. You too? Thank you for your reply Shuhak.
