Discussion»Questions»Life and Society» Is the "good" of something only measured by its ending? If it were achieved via devious/harmful means does it matter? Why?
Does the end justify the means? Is that it? Well, no. It doesn't. We need to exercise integrity or the job is not well done. I don't get to murder you to save 10 more people, it doesn't work that way. Unless it is to stop you from killing someone. But, then again, that would not be murder, but a defense tactic.
We don't get to do evil for the sake of good. We don't get to drop a bomb on millions of innocents like at Hiroshima and say it is to stop the War so it is okay.
