To rhyme is divine and fine. Even if and when it is asinine?

    Lot of truth in the "Stitch in time saves nine" - nine stiches instead of one.

    I.e. don't neglect things until they have deteriorated so much that putting them right is far more difficult.

    True although there is such a thing as "benign neglect". There are some things that resolve themselves without you're doing anything at all. That is fortuitous and lucky happenstance of course . One cannot rely on that ever. If you are unaware that something is beginning to unravel and by the time you notice it's already too late then what? We can't notice everything all the time. Pity that.
