No one at any age savors the thought of being abandoned. Children especially fear what will happen to them if their parents die. Did you?
As a child I remember having nightmares about that. At one point they were so regular I didn't want to go to sleep at night. Eventually I outgrew it but I think that is a real fear of children everywhere.
