An all-consuming desire or obsession with power and making money seems so tawdry and cheap to me personally. Money is a thing that intrinsiclaly has zero value except what humans impute to it. Power is thing that is used to intimidate control frighten. Sure power CAN BE USED FOR GOOD. How often is that the goal of the power-obsessed? TO DO GOOD?
Yet that is the be-all and end-all in life for many. What a sad thing. An entire species that could have been great and done great is reduced to selfish greedy seedy.
