No SANE person celebrates tragedy. But to "mark it" and acknowledge it as having happened. Are there more tragedies to "mark" than good?

We mark Pearl Harbor
We mark 9/11
We will mark 1/6

What joyful things do we mark, remember, celebrate as a nation? Or is that the nature of the beast? We only mark our tragedies?
