Maycomb, Alabama. 1929. "To Kill a Mockingbird". The "trial" of a black man accused of raping and viciously beating a white woman. GUILTY?

Of course he was declared GUILTY. The jury was comprised of twelve WHITE MEN

The case presented by the attorney showed he was CLEARLY INNOCENT.

The father of the girl he allegedly raped had beaten the crap out of her. He beat her often. Why this time?

He came home and found her hugging and kissing a BLACK MAN. The BLACK MAN only had the use of one arm. The other was useless due to an accident that wrecked all the muscles in that arm. He did NOTHING to indicate that he was interested in her in any way. He felt sorry for her so when she'd ask him to come in and repair or take care of something for her he did. She had the HOTS for him and he tried to handle it as kindly as he could.

Everyone there KNEW the man on trial DID NOTHING wrong other than the fact that he was BLACK.

At least he had a jury trial which was fixed of course but so what? How many aren't fixed?

Today we have come a long way baby.

There are no jury trials because the black men are taken out by cops thus saving time and money and achieving the desired end.

That is PROGRESS isn't it? Get straight to the point the end the denouement. Hasten it shortcut it. What could it hurt?

If we have no jury trials anymore, where did all of the people in prison come from?
