Some things are usable AS IS. Carrots, apples, mushrooms. Just wash them and you're good to go. Others we have to do things to to use. LIKE?

Coffee beans. You have to roast them and grind them and brew in water. They are not edible otherwise are they?

Cocoa beans the same thing. A luscious chocolate bar doesn't grow on trees. It takes work to get it.

Rubber we vulcanize to improve by hardening strengthening and making more stable(courtesy of a mug friend...I didn't even know what it meant...had to look it up.) Except it originated as an accident!

So using things as-is. Easy peasy breezy. Figuring out what to do with them in order to use? That's the mystery to me. Try and fail and try and fail and try and fail but not giving up. That's kind of amazing. So homo saps can be stubborn. We know. But when you don't know there you are going to end up and you still keep going? What is THAT?
