A CALIFORNIA BILL.

A good idea worldwide isn't it?

See who is paying docs to suggest their products or prescribe them to their patients?

I can only speak to the Employment Agreements for providers at my hospital ... because I see those, since I do payroll.
According to those contracts, the providers are prohibited from accepting any outside payments without approval of the employer.
They aren't even allowed to accept free meals from vendor representatives.

Of course, I bet doctors would fight such a law.
By declaring the value of such "gifts", they would also have to claim them on taxes.  :)

How many honorable homo saps are there in any profession Walt? Look at the oaths our pols take to preserve and protect? What bullsh** is that? They lie sabotage undermine BETRAY cheat all the time. Homo saps are good at that. Lying is protected you know. Sheesh. I wonder how many HONORABLE people there are in the world? You surely won't find them in politics anywhere. It is depressing isn't it?  Doctors take an oath to "do no harm" don't they? How many sexually molest their patients?. So much for oaths. I guess I'm in a BAH HUMBUG mood/mode. Thank you for your reply! :) This post was edited by RosieG at June 24, 2021 3:48 AM MDT
