Do you allow others to place limitations/interpretations on your perceptions? One man's weed is another man's flower after all. Isn't it?

Weed or flower? We grow some "flowers" that are so pretty. Yellow they are and they crop up in our backyard every spring. Jim' mom whom I never met sadly used to call such "flowers" VOLUNTEERS.

I call them flowers. Now why does it matter to anyone how I see things? Why do they get all upset because I'm not seeing it as they do and what they see/think is always much righter than what I do? I don't get it.
