Would you like to know what it costs to build and maintain a DESALINATION PLANT?

The one in Carlsbad, California cost $1 BILLION to build and $50 MILLION per year to power it.

See the problem? See why we don't  Have more desalination plants to reclaim water? Anyone got any ideas how to make it cheap enough to afford?

    There's water in the ocean that would help allevaite the drought. But we can't afford to access it and even if we could you are telling me doing so harms the environment. Seems to me that puts us square between a rock and hard place...Scylla and Charybdis...the horns of a dilemma.
