Discussion»Statements»Rosie's Corner» ALLEGEDLY a poll reports that Americans oppose the new texass-style GOP voting restrictions and prefer Democratic reforms. Are you one?
Yes, everyone should have to prove they are a U.S. citizen and should be given some ID card or other proof that shows they are eligible to vote. When it comes to elections on the federal level, every state should have to follow the same rules and regulations. Removing election places, restricting mail-in or early voting rules is not democracy. Then, again - if the GOP didn't gerrymander, remove polling places and restrict mail-in/early voting, they would likely never win another election. Just sayin' ...
Isn't that done the first time people vote? Why should anything change for them? Why should anything change from the way it was always done? Why new restrictive measures when what has been the way it was has worked for so many generations? Methinks it stinks. Thank you for your reply L! :)
Yes, that's done when you first register to vote and, by all measures, nothing should change unless you've been convicted of a felony an then you forfeit your right to vote, but that's another issue.
So all of this is an unnecessary dog and pony show meant to divert the weakminded bobbleheads. AT a cost of what? Our Democracy. Oh well just another day at the office American style. Thank you for your reply L! :)
