    basically having to adopt even more dire measures than thought, more rapidly; but hopefully in practical ways not merely political knee-jerk reactions to fit calendars.

    YABUT! Yeah but isn't it almost too late to stop the avalanche? Even now there are those who discount it and put no stock in it. Even now! There are a lot of folks very worried but who has the power TO DO SOMETHING SUBSTANTIVE? Island nations will disappear in time due to rising seas. Coastal towns will disappear under water. Exactly when I'm not sure but 2045 seems to be a time when folks on the coasts will be moving more inland. I doubt I'll still be here then but it doesn't look good.
