Once upon a time on the now-dead-as-a-doornail Answerbag someone would start up with a very silly  question about a particular thing.   All the lemmings followed suit and asked questions too about the same thing. Some even went so far as to change their screen names to incorporate the fad. Why I don't know. I never participated. But do you like bandwagons and copycatting and carrying on and carrying out something  someone else starts or do you think it's kinda silly? Do you like to play follow the leader? Why?

It is not as unreasonable as you paint it. It is about community and fellowship (and you are being a wet blanket here:-).

It is like those 'drinking songs' we sing in taverns. A good 'together time' for all. No matter how ridiculous the actual song is. eg: "99 green bottles are hanging on the wall".

I think it's kinda silly myself, but live and let live I guess.
