Is the old saying "You got moxie, kid" sexist?

It was meant as a compliment often given to fiery, go-getter women.  If the best a woman could be is calling them a child with qualities comparative to the worst soft-drink ever formulated, is that a good thing?   It's like saying  "you're full of  New Coke" or " You got  Pepsi Clear".
